Throw it under a waxed jacket on a cold morning. Wear it over a base layer on a weekend where you are not going anywhere near a meeting. The occasion almost does not matter. What does matter is the cut, because a fleece that fits properly around the shoulders and does not balloon at the midsection is a completely different garment to one that does not.
