Purple is the color most men avoid without ever really deciding to. It sits there in the store, gets passed over for navy or grey or white, and that’s usually where the story ends. Which is a shame, because the right shade of purple in a well cut t-shirt is one of the more interesting things you can do with a simple outfit. We’re not talking about anything loud. Dusty mauves, deep plums, washed violets that sit close enough to neutral that they work with what you already own. The t-shirt itself still has to be right. Fabric weight matters. So does the neckline and how the shoulder seam sits. A purple t-shirt that fits badly just gives you a new way to look like you don’t care. These are the ones where the color is the point and the construction is good enough to back it up. Worth adding something different for once.
