The fitted t-shirt had a good run but a lot of men are done with it, and we understand why. Something with a little more room through the body, a dropped shoulder, and a hem that sits right just looks more considered right now. The problem is that oversized can go wrong fast. Regular Fit T Shirts That Get the Proportions Right

The regular fit t-shirt is one of those things men think they have figured out until they look at a photo and realize they absolutely do not. Too boxy and it reads as an afterthought. Too long and it kills the proportions of whatever you're wearing below. Most t-shirts fail in one of two ways. The stripe t-shirt is one of those pieces that should be simple and mostly isn't. Get the stripe too wide and it reads costume. Too thin and it disappears. Wrong weight fabric and it either clings where it shouldn't or bags out after three washes. The category is full of near misses. T Shirts With a V Neck Edge That Works

The v neck gets a bad reputation it only partially deserves. Done wrong, it plunges too deep, reads as throwback, and belongs nowhere near a grown man's wardrobe. Done right, it's a cleaner alternative to the crew neck, sits better under an open shirt collar, and adds just enough visual interest to make a plain tee look considered rather than accidental. The depth of the v is everything. Too shallow and you've gained nothing. Too deep and you've lost the room. We've been looking specifically at the middle ground, where the neckline opens things up without making a statement nobody asked for. Fabric weight matters too. A v neck in a thin cotton goes limp and transparent in a way that a crew neck can sometimes hide. The pocket detail on a t-shirt is one of those things that sounds minor until you see it done badly. Done right though, it adds just enough visual interest to a plain tee without trying to make a statement. It gives the t-shirt a bit of structure and intention. We've been specific about what we're looking for here. The pocket needs to be proportionate, sit cleanly at the chest, and be cut from the same fabric run as the rest of the shirt. The construction underneath matters too, because a poorly attached pocket will twist after three washes. These are t-shirts where someone thought about the details before signing off.
