The windproof element matters more than people give it credit for. A coat that handles rain but lets a February wind through it is only solving half the problem. We looked closely at construction, seam sealing, hood quality, and whether the outer shell holds its shape after repeated wear rather than going limp after a season. These are not technical hiking pieces dressed up in city clothing. They are proper outerwear for men who want to look good and stay dry at the same time.
