Slim Fit Fleeces That Actually Fit Right

Most fleeces look like you borrowed them from someone who coaches youth soccer on weekends. That particular crime has been committed long enough. The problem is fit. Fleece as a fabric has no natural structure, so a poorly proportioned cut just hangs there, shapeless and apologetic, killing whatever you had going on underneath. A slim fit changes everything. Suddenly it works over a base layer on a hiking trail and under a waxed jacket in the city without either use case feeling like a stretch. We have been specifically looking for options where the shoulder seam sits correctly, the torso doesn't billow, and the zip pull isn't some enormous plastic thing that ruins the whole silhouette. Midweight constructions that don't add bulk but still do the thermal work. Colors that are worth being seen in. These are the fleeces that don't ask you to dress around them, which at this point feels like the least they can do.
