Belted Jackets That Actually Earn Their Keep
The belt on a jacket is one of those details that either justifies itself completely or exists purely to add bulk and confusion to an otherwise decent piece of outerwear. We have seen too many versions that hang loose and useless, the belt loops more decorative than functional, the whole thing looking like a coat that forgot what it was trying to be. What we wanted to find were belted jackets where the structure actually changes when you use it. Where cinching the waist creates a real silhouette rather than just a gathered mess of fabric. These work across a wider range of occasions than a standard jacket because the belt gives you a second way to wear them. Loose and relaxed over a heavy knit. Properly belted over a tailored trouser when the situation calls for something more considered. The jackets in here have been chosen because the belt is the point, not an afterthought.
