Denim Shirts Built for Casual, Not Just the Photos
The denim shirt has a credibility problem that comes entirely from how badly it gets misused. Worn too stiff, too dark, too untouched, it reads as something a man put on because it was there. The ones worth owning are different in ways you feel before you consciously register them. The wash is right. The weight breaks in rather than breaking down. The collar sits without being propped up by a cardboard insert that got thrown away on day one. We have been looking specifically at shirts that work as a casual layer, over a white tee, under a lighter jacket, or on their own on a weekend where you want to look considered without appearing to have tried. Chest pocket placement matters more than people admit. So does sleeve length at the cuff. The best ones look better after a year of washing, not worse. These are built for actual wear.
