Stripe Vests Worth a Place in the Rotation
The stripe vest is one of those pieces that looks like it requires more effort than it does. Throw one over a white tee and you're halfway to an outfit that reads as considered without announcing itself too loudly. The problem is that most of them miss the mark in the same ways: the stripes are either too wide, the fit too boxy, or the fabric too thin to hold any real shape. We've been looking specifically for options where the proportions are right and the knit has enough body to drape properly rather than cling. Breton stripes done well. Rugby stripes where the colors actually work together. A few less obvious directions for the guy who wants something with a bit more personality.
